Power House Assembly, Assemblies of God, Ghana, operates this website and its leadership portal. This policy explains how information is handled through our website, membership services, and online giving.
Information we collect
We receive information you provide through membership registration, online giving, account registration, and communications with the church. Membership records may include your name, date of birth, gender, contact details, residence, occupation, family details, ministry, and membership ID. These records can reveal your religious affiliation.
Giving information includes your name, contact details, amount, giving category, payment method, transaction reference, membership ID when supplied, and any thanksgiving note. If you enter card details, the website sends them to our payment endpoint; mobile money payments use your phone number and selected network. Please do not include confidential information in payment notes.
Our hosting and service providers may also process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and error logs to deliver and maintain the website.
Google sign-in and portal accounts
When you choose Google sign-in, Google and Firebase Authentication provide account information such as your name, email address, profile photo if available, and account identifier. We use this information to authenticate you, maintain your session, and check your email against the approved leadership access list.
Google sign-in does not give this website access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or contacts. We do not receive your Google password. Email and password accounts are handled through Firebase Authentication. Signing in does not automatically grant access to church records.
How we use information
We use information to administer church membership and ministries, respond to enquiries, process and record giving, prepare church financial and membership reports, manage approved portal access, and investigate technical or security problems.
Google account information is used for account access and administration, not for advertising. The website does not sell Google sign-in information or use it for personalised advertising.
Browser storage and external services
Firebase Authentication and the portal use browser storage to remember sign-in sessions and complete Google sign-in. Clearing or blocking this storage may sign you out or prevent sign-in from completing.
Embedded Google Forms and Google Maps, and externally hosted website resources, connect your browser to their providers. Those providers may receive technical information and use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Links to social media and other websites are governed by the policies of those services.
Retention and security
Membership, account, and giving records are kept for church administration, reporting, and applicable recordkeeping needs. Retention depends on the type of record and the reason it is held; removing a portal account does not automatically remove membership or giving records.
The portal uses authentication and approved account roles to manage access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Contact the church if you believe your account or personal information has been accessed improperly.
Your choices and requests
You can contact the church to ask about information held about you, request access or corrections, or request deletion of an account or personal record. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some records may need to be retained for financial, administrative, or legal reasons; we will explain any limitations when responding.
You can remove the app’s Google account connection in your Google Account settings. This stops that connection but does not itself delete information already held by the church. Contact us separately for deletion requests.
Parents or guardians should contact the church about membership information relating to children, including requests to correct or remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as website features or information practices change. The updated policy and its revision date will appear on this page.
