Our History

Power House Assembly was established on the 9th of May, 1989, by Rev. Dr. Gladstone Cofie. The church had its humble beginnings in a classroom at Darsco Preparatory and JHS in Zamama-Line.

Through God's faithfulness and guidance, the church later moved to its current permanent location in Banana-Inn Soko, near Mambrouk Park. Today, Power House Assembly serves as a proud local church constituting the Assemblies of God, Ghana, Dansoman District.

The church property currently spans one acre of land. We are in the process of erecting a beautiful two-storey auditorium. Presently, the ground floor serves partially as a car park, and functions as the vibrant auditorium for our Teens Church and Children's Classes while construction continues above.

After decades of visionary leadership, Pioneer Pastor Rev. Dr. Gladstone Cofie officially retired from active service on the 14th of December, 2025.

Following his retirement, Rev. Paul Korblah Amekaful took over the mantle of leadership. He and his wife, Mrs. Eunice Christabel Amekaful, were officially installed as the substantive Senior Pastor of the church on the 29th of March, 2026, ushering the church into a new era of spiritual growth and community impact.
